Parents DO have a massive impact on who on their children grow up and become!
Isaac and I have been parenting for almost 19 years and have experienced both fruit in parenting as well as the frustration of trying to raise godly confident Christian kids in a culture that frankly, scoffs at God’s laws and righteous living.
You have been given a sacred and powerful influence in your child’s life. And Isaac and I want to both encourage and challenge you in your journey of intentional biblical parenting.
There have been many times when we have felt alone in our parenting decisions or wondered if we were being too soft or too tough on different issues like discipline, boundaries, influences, and expectations. Now that some of our children are older we have wisdom from hindsight regarding the younger years of parenting, but because we still have a toddler and a baby, we are still very much living in the season of littles.
We believe that the season we are in, with eight children ranging in ages baby to 18, enables us to speak to relevant issues parents deal with today because while we have older children and had to deal with making many hard decisions, for example, we are still raising young children at the same time.
Children are not a BURDEN, but a BLESSING.
This message is at odds with the culture today. We believe God is calling us to stir up good works among God’s people, specifically on this topic.
Two-year-olds are not supposed to be viewed as TERRIBLE. The teenage years should be something you look forward to.
You cannot save your children, but Jesus Christ can.
There is no equation for creating a perfect family, but God DID give us the perfect guide-book and instruction for life and parenting when He gave us His holy Word, the Bible.
Parenting is some of the most important work you will do in your lifetime.
Parenting is both sanctifying, yet fulfilling.
It can be a catalyst to massive growth in your life and marriage … IF… you let it be.
